Christopher Lloyd is an American actor best known for his role portraying Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown in the Back to the Future film trilogy. Christopher Lloyd was born in Stamford, Connecticut, on October 22, 1938.
Early Life
His father R. Lloyd was a lawyer and his mother Ruth Lloyd was a singer. Christopher was the youngest of three boys and four girls. His grandfather, Lewis Lapham, was one of the founders of the Texaco oil company.
The full name of the famous actor is Christopher Allen Lloyd.
Christopher Lloyd received his high school education at Staples High School in Westport, Connecticut. He started studying theater in New York at the age of 19 and then started performing on the stage right after graduating here.
When the calendars showed the year 1969, he had the experience of performing on Broadway for the first time. Christopher Lloyd kind of started his acting career on this date.
Career:
Christopher Lloyd had his first cinema experience in Milos Forman’s award-winning film “The Cuckoo”. In this movie, the famous actor played Taber, one of the residents of the mental hospital, in the movie where Jack Nicholson had an outstanding performance.
He won the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his character “Father Iggy Ignatowski” in the comedy series “Taxi”, which was broadcast from 1978 to 1982, also featuring Danny DeVito and Andy Kaufman.
In 1985, the actor portrayed the character of Emmett ‘Doc’ Brown, who fully identified with himself, in the first movie of the “Back to the Future” series, one of the indispensable productions in cinema history.
The famous actor had another major role in 1988, right after the first movie in the Back to the Future series. The actor portrayed Judge Doom in the movie “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”.
After that, he took part as the leading actor in the 2nd and 3rd movies of the very popular Back to the Future movie. The second and third movies of the series were released in 1989 and 1990.
